Yoga studios can be beautiful places, but it’s hard to imagine the ancient practice of yoga began indoors! Yoga helps deliver you into the present moment, where awareness of your body and environment eclipses repetitive thoughts about yesterday and tomorrow. It’s one reason why yoga is such a potent stress reducer. So what better way to sink into your surroundings, moment by moment, than by feeling the breeze on your skin, hearing birds you don’t normally notice, and enjoying the fresh scent of nearby trees as you practice yoga?
Practicing yoga outside has many benefits:

-Slight differences in natural terrain focuses balance more than a flat floor
-Being in nature can put personal problems into perspective
